Card rules are the most common reason a booking fails at the desk. The card normally has to be a physical credit card in the main driver's name with enough available limit.

Damage deposit: Depends on the selected product; check the offer line.
Fuel amount / hold: €70–€250 indicative range observed for selected products; verify the exact fuel amount on the final offer and voucher
Toll amount / charge: €100 Via Verde toll amount, held separately (supplier-specific example)

Card requirement: Accepted card types and cardholder requirements vary by supplier and product. Verify the payment-card section of the final offer and voucher.
Contractual liability: The main driver signs the contract and stays liable regardless of which card is presented.

What this means in practice

General guidance: many counters ask for a physical card in the main driver's name with enough available limit, but the requirement is set per supplier and product.
A zero damage-deposit product can still require a valid card on file for fuel, tolls and traffic fines.
Confirm the accepted card list on the final voucher — it overrides general web copy.
